Friday, September 14, 2012 - Bordeaux 1962 (semi blind) to celebrate Robert's birthday (Amsterdam Wijn Antiquariaat): First shortly after opening over-ripe dried cherries, cedar, tobacco, chocolate and some mint in the nose and high acidity plus (un-natural) sweet tones on the palate. But several hours later this had all developed into an intoxicating bouquet of thick overripe fruits, leather and cedar. The palate gained more structure and body with glycerine, fat, ripe fruits, mineral, graphite and iron tones and an 'old school' Bordeaux finish. Better drink soon.
