Saturday, April 27, 2024 - Wow! Even more impressive than the last tasting. As soon as I smell the wine I could tell it was going to be amazing. Still with a very dark color with minimal lightening around the edges. the bouquet is Heavenly with gobs of minerals, smoke, cedar, leather, tobacco, lead pencil. Dense and concentrated with extracted dark fruits, minerals, graphite, hands of chocolate, cedar, lead pencil, leather. Long finish. Along with the fruit it still has some tannins. This is really coming in to its own now. Outstanding qpr. For those who are fans of 2003 PC don't ignore the 2002 or 2004. Plus 2002 right now is far more complex and showing a lot more than the 2003. The 2002 is a perfect example of how sometimes the Vintage is that are not considered the best still sometimes age extremely well and show beautifully when it's from a good estate. Drink now to 2027, possibly longer
