Saturday, February 1, 2014 - Deep ruby red color in the glass. Notes seem to be consistent with previous tasters. Leather and cedar with both bright and dark red fruits on the nose and hints of brown sugar or some baking spice. The balance on the palate feels like a peaking point for this wine in that it seems to be softening (this was probably pretty tight 2-3 years ago), but the acidity holds everything together perfectly. The tannin is somewhat light, but definitely has a presence. The finish is drawn out well by the acidity. Nice by itself but is seriously enjoyable with food. 89+
