Saturday, July 16, 2011 - Brought to a restaurant then popped and poured. Dark ruby color. Nose of damson plum, anise, mulberry, violets. Concentrated and grapey on the palate with layers of black raspberry and dark plum propelled by a fair amount of acidity and structured tannins. Finish long and marked by mineral and bing cherry notes. Manages to be quite delicious even though it is quite primary and unresolved right now. Can only get better.
