Saturday, December 31, 2011 - An almost smoky, herby aroma. Smells a little like walking through a forest. Thick tannins... almost a dusty character on the palate. Liquorice and earthy notes on the palate. Very long, well balanced and quite powerful. Would go amazingly with a brisket with paprika sauce. Superb - one of the best wines I tasted in Napa.
