Friday, June 24, 2011 - There’s some cola and camphor on the nose (perhaps a little too much oak showing) but also sweet, generous and plump fruit. The fruit has a creamy edge and fills the mouth. There’s some pleasant Savigny earth underpinning the wine and it finishes a little sappy and resinous. It’s a decent drink that is perhaps showing a little too oaky at this stage. I’d like to see it in a few more years to see if the whole package comes together a bit better.
