Friday, May 1, 2020 - Not a bad showing for an older wine. Notes of cherry, currant and plums plus herbs, vegetables and lots of earth. I imagine there was more fruit flavors earlier that have faded. Not a bad pairing with our 3-meat pizza plus pork sausage, genoa salami and herbs.
This was $10 on sale and I was curious about it. I’d love to have a more recent and stronger vintage.
