Friday, April 3, 2015 - The 2009 is a classic Clos from Raveneau, blossoming in the decanter to give up lovely aromas of lemon oil, honeysuckle, cornmeal and wet rocks. Deep—almost bottomless—and with beautiful purity and focus despite its glossy texture, this wine is surprisingly approachable for so young a Clos, but it really deserves another five or six years in the cellar before really getting to grips with it.
