Friday, August 3, 2012 - NOSE: red fruits like cranberry, raspberry; slight sandalwood and moss/beach sand note, slight stink actually. Quite tight. TASTE: very dry, medium body, sandy tannins. Red fruits: red currant, raspberry, cranberry, sour cherry, some red grape. Very nice but subtle dark chocolate aftertaste. Precise mid-palate. Nice red fruit/chocolate profile, slight soapiness. Nasturtium flowers? Very interesting, fruit-forward Rioja.
