Saturday, May 25, 2013 - Decanted 3 hours. Dark color, some bricking, lots of sediment. On the nose, lots of toasty oak, coffee, some heat. Flavors of mint, chocolate, cassis. Full bodied, with any acidity well hidden yet not what I would characterize as 'flabby'. Finishes with sweet mostly resolved tannin and a tinge of heat.

This is good, but shows a lot of oak and seems to be having a hard time holding its 15.1% alcohol in check. Went very very well with Kobe ribeye.
