Saturday, September 23, 2017 - Dark and full-bodied, but quite elegant; nice mineral touch, Mediterranean herbs, understated dark fruit core, slightly grippy tannins and perfect acidity, a gentle and highly elegant oak treatment with fine cedar flavors, overall restrained and more old-school Agliancio style, especially when compared to the fruit-bomb Aglianico from Nugnes we had just afterwards. A perfect Italian food wine, but I believe this hasn't fully reached its ideal drinking window. Excellent now, but will be teriffic in a few years. - 92+ points
