Monday, February 20, 2017 - From Magnum.

Port Party, opened along with '77 Ferreira, '68 Warre, '84 Fladgate, and '94 Kopke.

This was a solid #2 at the beginning of the night, but became the best by the end. Time and air really helped this one a lot. Fact is that it would have gone another 20-30 years before really getting ready. That said, fantastic balance of fruit and caramel/raisin. Rich and deep, but not overly heavy. Paired well with bacon-wrapped almond-stuffed dates!

Color was still deep, even the other bottle of 77 was coppery/rust in color, but this was still strongly red.
