Saturday, March 3, 2012 - The dutchman turns 30; 3/2/2012-3/3/2012 (Chicago IL): nose: beautiful and savory nose filled with tones of black olives, herbs, dill, dark red cherries, cranberries and a touch of purple florals. Very good depth with a real class to it.
taste: very well balanced with a real classy medium/full feel. Good firm tannins that are more silky than chewy along with polished tones of dark red cherries, herbs, cranberries, red currants and some dill tones too.
overall: This came off as young even though it was showing wonderfully. Didn't seem that extracted at all blind and it was a surprise to see this as #5 given all of the notes.
