Layers of fine gravely dirt, black plum, blackberry, iodine, and iron on the palate. Freshening acidity and tongue-curling but smoothed tannin. Longer finish of tart black fruit cut with ferric notes, satisfying grip, and craggy stone. Character-filled, somewhat feral wine which will evolve for years yet.
