Friday, May 22, 2015 - Color: dark dark ruby core -> fairly dense ruby rim. Gorgeous bouquet of graphite, roasted cherries and a smokey, almost peaty earthiness. Palate is bright and lively with excellent acidity and showing off that pretty, roasted/grilled cherry fruit. This is a wonderful amalgam of the best of Syrah and Mourvedre showing off a little leather, gaminess and a good dollop of forest floor. Cris Cherry always seems to have a deft touch with Mourvedre and it shows very well here. Delicious now and well into the future, this is certainly worth a search to find.
