Friday, June 5, 2020 - I don't drink much Zin these days, but this was really quite a nice example of mature zinfandel. The nose shows rich dark fruit, a bit of spice, a hint of leather, and some floral notes. The palate, while big, bold, and rich, doesn't feel too hot (just a hint of heat which I thought would be more) and has reasonable acidity. This paired quite nicely with some smoked ribs and would be a good partner for many things off the grill.
