Saturday, August 25, 2018 - Light ruby, minimal browning. Attractive aromatic mix of ripe black cherry and soil. Quite sappy for Gamay, tremendous dark red fruit, chocolate, a lift of citrus rind, and a finish which is shortened by some late emerging funky elements. I've had variable luck with this wine, but this particular bottle had terrific fruit and good verve, even though it was not perfectly clean.
