Wednesday, February 29, 2012 - Pop and pour. Right off the bat, distinctive violet, blackberry, and crushed rock on the nose. On the palate, great concentration and purity of fruit - currant, more blackberry, sour plum - but without any sort of heaviness. With air, mineral, spice, and a hint of pepper come through. The finish is med-plus length with juicy tannins and acid and an iron/metallic note. Quality blend of 3 Yorkville Highland vineyards that is definitely open for business.
