Monday, January 24, 2011 - This bottle was splash-decanted and serially tasted over 2-3 hours. Opaque purple/ruby robe with violet rim. Clean nose, showing aromas of cassis, earth, spice and espresso. Full-bodied on the palate, with low-to-medium acidity. The tannins are ample but quite supple, while the flavors are black fruit-dominated. The middle palate is full and the medium-to-long finish is smooth. This wine is a great bargain for those who like Napa Valley fruit (including a Bordeaux "whore" such as me!). Drink now-12/20.
