Sunday, March 28, 2021 - Did I love it? Yes. Was it Barolo? Yes, but I wanted more of what Piemonte can be. The nose was all crushed flowers, stone, a bit of aluminum and . . . yes . . . oak. The fruit was still there. I liked the balance and the rustic intensity. Long finish. Very clean. All in all a winner. I gave an extra point because of how good a shape this 1993 was in. Impressive. Perhaps a bit past its time, but who of us aren't.
