Monday, November 27, 2017 - Like a spicy wild cousin of CDP, though with lots of poise beneath the vivacious exterior. Prune and leather with licorice and five spice, the fruit is supple and velvety while the storm of savoury and spicy notes stir beneath. There is wonderful structure for a wine of this style, with enough acidity and tannin to hold things together. I imagine this can last another few years, though I don't think it will improve.
