Saturday, May 14, 2011 - One of the most impressive California wines I've had in ages. I was shocked to see this wine was 15.3%, as it was wonderfully balanced. Ordered two bottles on my past experience with Anderson, but after tasting the 07 and 08 side by side at my local wine shop today, I immediately picked up 2 more bottles. This is right up there with the best Cali wines I've had in the past 15 years - Shafer Hillside, Scarecrow, Merus, etc. It's hard to call any wine a bargain at $80+ dollars, but this wine delivers in spades, even at that price point. Hope I can hold a couple bottles at least 10 years, as this wine may be magical by then.
