Sunday, October 27, 2013 - This was popped and poured, and followed on several consecutive nights. Night one it was almost all toast and oak (don't PnP) but after a couple hours smoothed out some. Night 2 was much more enjoyable. Nose was a little shy, but showing dark polished plum and currants, with a strong chocolate note carrying a medium length finish. Smooth and polished, with moderate depth and complexity. Strong effort, though not a "wow" wine for my palate.
