Wednesday, November 27, 2013 - ...perfect napa cab for the holidays...

60 min decant...midnight ruby hue with great clarity...big ripe black cherries and blackberries on the nose with undertones of licorice, cedar and dark chocolate as well as some floral characteristics...beautifully constructed and concentrated fruit on entry with notes of cedar, espresso and dark chocolate truffles...full bodied and complex through the mid-palate with well-integrated and refined tannins and acidity...while 15.3% alcohol is tipping the scales, would have guessed it was low-to-mid 14...one of Todd's best efforts and the best AC CS Estate Reserve i've had...simply a lovely wine and solid QPR
