Friday, August 18, 2023 - Purchased on release. Double decanted three hours before service. Medium red with a touch of browning. Beautiful nose of barnyard and leather, perhaps a touch of tobacco. The palate has balanced tannins and acid that makes the wine easy to drink but still has a lot of stuffing left. Black and red fruits. This wine will definitely live to the 50-year mark.

Here's the blend, per the chateau:
73% Cabernet Sauvignon,
15% Merlot,
10% Cabernet Franc,
2% Petit Verdot
