Wednesday, August 19, 2009 - Third Wednesday tasting - Rieslings (Peking Duck House): Somehow manages to combine tremendous richness and depth with amazing precision and elegance (but it is a Trimbach, so not that surprising). Great aromatics with white fruits, melon, honey, flowers and some vaseline-like notes. Very rich on the palate but with very little sweetness, packed with more white fruits, orange and floral elements with an intense stony mineral character underneath and really good acidity keeping it in perfect balance. Finishes with great length - stunning.
