Wednesday, March 30, 2022 - On open, blueberries and a bit of earthy funk that gave way quickly to oak and dill, with a touch strawberry sour cherry. The oak and dill were very overpowering, so into the decanter it went.

At 45 min, blueberries and spice would show after swirling, then disappear behind the strawberry-sour cherry- dill concoction, still complimentary earthy notes. Elegant and restrained, but something is off kilter.

At 60 min this turned into a sour, acidic bitter mess, so much so, that I opened a different bottle (‘08 Staglin). Will try again and see if more air revives it, not hopeful!
