Ive owned this wine for 8 years now, and I love it every time I drink it. Too bad its the last bottle. Still going strong with strong cassis and dark red sweet fruit, and some soil notes from bottle age. Still fresh and interestingly well preserved with a long finish that satisfies you in every way. If I had to describe it in one word, the word would be "delicious". DRINK

Fully ripe, with cabernet flesh and cassis galore, this medium bodied beauty packed a whopping punch of red plummy fruit. Maybe keeping them in my cold cellar for the last 5 years did them some good. Developing some tilled soil notes on the back end which makes it even more pleasant to me. Pleasantly sweet, with great acidic balance. Drink or hold

Deep red center, red rim with some signs of age. Sweet, blackcurrant and black cherries, a little minty, quite purple. Smooth, rich cassis and ripe plums, blackberry, rounded, dusty, okay acidity, smooth tannins, iodine, balsam and oak, good long fruity finish. Better than expected, drinking well now, but will age well for a couple more years.

One of my favorite go to cabs. I am a PR fan so my opinion is biased. Had this vintage a year ago and gave it one point higher this time. A lot more oak than most but I like it every now and then. Good fruit and long finish. A lot of life left with this vintage.

Blueberry Cherry cassis. Hint of dark chocolate. Slight almond hull Carmel on the nose. An full Cabernet to the nose dark in color. Creamy and velvet. Wow!!!

Classic napa valley Cabernet in a very good way. Balanced, rich, structured but not overpowering, has notes of cassis, black fruit, brown spice, and a hint of pepper. Long finish.

Have not had this vintage in a couple of years. For the price, this is a great bottle of wine (bought a case for around $33 per bottle back when it was released). The friends we had it with enjoyed it but may have had a bit too much oak for their palate.

This particular bottle gave me blueberry and cola on the nose. It had nice grip and a medium-long finish. It lacked chalkiness or minerality I've encountered in superior Napa Cabs, but it hits enough notes to be very enjoyable.

Decanted and had 1st day over 3 to 4 hours. Drinking very well and balanced now. Tannins will give it at least 3(?) more years. Definitely opened up best after about 3 hours. Love drinking cabs like this without food after tannins have settled down but fruit still heavy on the nose. Still excellent 2nd day too.

Terrific juice. Loads of red cherry, slight jolly rancher, cedar & saddle leather, as well as some blue fruit. Medium tannins. Drinking really well now, or hold for a couple more years.

Blue fruits, cedar, mocha, well integrated with moderate finish. Bit of dusty tannin for grip and enough acidity that I'd give it another year or two, but peasant now with food. Solid entry level Napa Cab.

Very dark juicy blue purple color. Great nose of spicy plum and black tea...Tastes like a blueberry bursting with a juicy black currant center with a great smooth texture to melt all the flavor together...Slides down your tongue and you want more always...Love this finish too...I'm gonna go as high as 91 for this basic Napa cab from Pine Ridge...

I'd say this is a standout at this price point, dark berries, rich meaty, leather, nice complexity. Has a flavor component that reminds me a little of some nice Argentine Malbecs we've had.

Bouquet was pleasant, fruity. Better than 2009 Montelena Napa, but not as impressive as 2008 Phelps Napa. BUt Sorella tasting was one chance to taste; bottles were opened about 1 hr in advance.

Dark garnet color with a rich nose of ripe plumb, asian spice, leather and light mineral notes. On the palate was plumb, bramble fruit, dark coco and coffee notes. The finish was long with just an ecco of mint. I really loved this wine. A fantastic effort.
Decanted for 4 hours.

It is very noticeable that this is made up of Rutherford and Stags Leap grapes. The flavors are dark bramble berries with a noticeable Rutherford dust that trails in to leather and graphite with strong concentration yet soft tannins in a long finish that you expect to see in Stags Leap. A very good to excellent wine that I prefer over some of their more expensive single AVA wines.
