Still tastes great !! I agree with my tasting notes of the past year. Consumed over two days. Perfect cork. easily removed. A nicely balanced blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Carignane. I still have three bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar.

Need to decant/aerate at least 2-4 hours. Powerful musty nose on initial uncorking. Once passed the opening aeration the wine has well aged fruit and tannin, with mild acidity. Tartaric acid crystals are not too obtrusive. Very nice once the musty nose abates. Drink now (2021).

Mostly agree with MikeLovesRed in that this should be drunk now, but it sounds like he enjoyed it more than I did. Overall, it just wasn't that exciting. Lacking fruit and while the structure was still there, it just didn't have any 'wow factor'. Dont see this improving so drink em if you've got em.

Attributes of rich, dark, fruit on the nose, a little vanilla, and a light pepper.
The color was dark ruby
Solid mouth feel, pleasantly coats the pallet, with bright flavors. Mild to no tannin in the mouth, with enjoyable hints of cherry, tobacco, and bright red fruits, and earthy flavors.
Certainly should not be held any longer, drink now.
Day 1 this was super tight and not giving up much. Day 2 it started to shine like I hoped it would. Pepper, blueberries, black fruits and sweet tannins on the finish. I have 1 more and based on this bottle, I plan to hold for 3 to 5 more years.

At first it was a little harsh, but after a couple of hours of breathing - it softened nicely, and was quite enjoyable with rustic pizza and smoked meats

Equal parts zin, petite sirah, carignane. Has the jamminess from the zin, but the other pieces don't show up. Pretty good for a zin, but I was looking for more of the total blend.

This was a very pleasant surprise. I opened a bottle last year and the wine was awkward and too tight. Was not expecting much. Wow. This is in a great spot. Round in the mouth, cherry, raspberry, a little cocoa dust, and spice. Great structure and long finish. This can go at least another year but is really good now.

Big supple fruit with a full mouth; sweet and full but smooth spiciness in the mouth. Smooth finish with fruit, tannin and light spice; medium length. I expect this wine to develop nicely over the next few years

Very nice - perhaps 1/2 hour open to develop, but much less tannic than the last time I opened one. Still could keep a few years I think. really nice triple blend, well balanced with fruit, integrated tannins and complexity.

Good blend (zin, petite sirah, carignane). Nose is delightful, taste is good but not as bold as the other zins produced by Seghesio. A good wine with hints of cherry/berry and mild smoky after tones.

Let it open for a while. Enjoy the mild fruity flavors and the deep rich color. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry and plum. It tastes like cherry. The body is medium. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

This wine is way too young to be drinking now. It has quite a bit of potential with a very balanced structure, but is quite raw. It needs much more time for the elements to develop complexity and depth. Drinkable now with aeration. Try again in 2016; it could age nicely out to 2022.

Drank both this and the Cortina 2012 for a larger dinner party. This was the dinner wine because it was a little bolder. Excellent choice.

Well balanced Zin - took a lot more time than expected to open and develop.
Silky flavor profile with bright fruit and a robust nose - sweet berry and ripe stone fruit - you can sense the Zin and Petite Sirah.
Can age longer - and tannins will continue to mellow.
Great drinker for the price
