A palate-coating and layered wine, the 2010 Rita’s Crown Chardonnay offers rich, resonant fruit that is juxtaposed with mineral notes of crushed rock and candied ginger. There is ample acid to hold the wine’s richest characteristics in check and this wine should pair marvelously with decadent ocean fare such as lobster claws and drawn butter or a hearty seafood risotto.
