‘Cult’ is not Brendon’s way of marketing, rather it is a nickname of the ‘Coulter Vineyard’ from which the prized fruit hails. Situated at 1,300 feet in the Lobethal zone and organically farmed, the ‘Coulter Vineyard’ was made famous by Henschke for its Sauvignon Blanc. The fruit is handpicked much earlier than the other tenants of this site. In vintages past Brendon has fermented a portion of the fruit whole cluster and in 2012 entirely destemmed. 2013 reintroduced a bit of stem inclusion as 10% of the total ferment was whole bunch.
