WINEMAKER COMMENTS:
This has become a cult wine of sorts in the FOXEN world - probably because it is so distinct from most Californian Cabernet Francs. Consistent and telltale Tinaquaic aromas of smoked jalapeno (chipotle), blueberries and classic cigar box greet you. Our estate Cabernet Franc always displays amouth-feel that is think (but not fat), loaded with ripe plums, blueberries, tobacco, and firm tannins. Recently we paired this wine with a Gorgonzola-stuffed beef tenderloin "au poivre", and the match was phenomenal. I recommend decanting if you want to enjoy this wine sooner - rather than later. 300 cases.
