Château d'Arche has 9 hectares of old vines, a beautiful country house and typical Médoc-style cellars. Bordering great growth vineyards, the château is located across from the church in the town of Ludon, at the end of a tree-lined road. Classified a Cru Bourgeois in 1932, Château d'Arche has been managed and sold in exclusivity by Mähler-Besse since 1994. The estate has become one of their flagship wines. Having decided to maintain and further improve the quality initiated by their predecessors, Mähler-Besse entrusted winemaking to the cellarmaster at Château Biré, who was trained by the former cellarmaster of Château Palmer. Good sun exposure produces rich, ripe Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes. Maintaining tradition and in deference to the soil, weedkillers are not used on the vines. Instead, the soil is ploughed and cultivated.

Vinification Traditional, with concentration increased by bleeding and maceration for 3 weeks.
