The wines being produced today are the realisation of the owner's long-held dream. Fascinated by wine since the age of 18, David finally left his "real" job in 2003 to study at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune. The following year saw the purchase of a small vineyard and winery, and thus the birth of the Domaine David Clark. The winery is situated in the small village of Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of Burgundy's famous Côte de Nuits. This narrow strip of land is home to many of the world's great Pinot Noir wines. Vineyards such as le Chambertin, le Clos de Vougeot and la Romanée-Conti have been making fabled wines since at least the 11th century. Domaine David Clark now owns 2 hectares of vines, in the communes of Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Brochon and Flagey-Echezeaux.
