Grapes were picked at an average 24.5 degrees Brix and fermented in stainless steel tanks after a cold soak of 5 days. The wine was aged 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels. The 2010 Insignia has an incredible inky hue with perfumed layers of plum, mocha, graphite and hints of spice box. The texture is ultra-concentrated and smooth with cocoa, black berry, clove, black cherry, savory herbs, black pepper and notes of lavender in the lingering, lush finish.
