Vineyard Article

In January, 2007 the Kaefferkopf vineyard was elevated to be the 51st Grand Cru vineyard of Alsace. There was some controversy around this including pending court cases, as wines that formerly were bottled with this vineyard name would now need to meet more stringent Grand Cru standards in order to still use the vineyard name on the label. In CellarTracker we are current assuming anything labeled with this vineyard from 2007 onward is Alsace Grand Cru.
