An incredible 57 months in barrel means that this single-vineyard Syrah is a current release wine, (that we’ve just tasted and been blown away by!) An old-world Côte Rôtie style, co-fermented with Viognier, with use of whole clusters creating complex layers of texture, spicy earth notes, this exceptional red is a talking-point wine Premium members exclusively!

Following the tradition of top Northern Rhône producers in the famed Côte Rôtie appellation, such as Rostaing and Jamet, winemaker Todd Hamina uses very little new oak, and includes a lot of whole clusters of grapes in the fermenter. Another nod to the old-world classic is the co-fermentation of a few percent of Viognier with the Syrah. This white grape adds a floral aromatic, softness and complexity to the wine; it also acts to “fix” the color and aromatic of the Syrah.
