Producer websiteChampagne Huré Frères is a family-run business, started just over fifty years ago by Raoul Huré and his two sons, Francois and Pierre, the winemaker and viticulturist respectively. The House is based in the village of Ludes in the Montagne de Reims region.
They farm 10 hectares of vines across the Champagne appellation with the majority of their planting representing the meunier grape.
The two brothers share a mutual vision and a traditional approach is taken in the vineyards, with a focus on sustainable and organic management; minimising herbicides and using organic composts and ground cover. The ground is tended by hand to maintain the quality of the soil, encouraging growth of vines that produce healthy, ripe and balanced grapes, which in turn produce high-quality champagne.
Rich in texture but with great acidity, they create wines to compliment all types of food, especially robust, seasonal winter menus.
