Our last of the lovely 2016 Zinfandels to be released, Sodini has blossomed with a little extra bottle time into a lip-smacking, delicious bottle of RRV goodness. This is one of the great examples of our efforts restoring old vine vineyards: we have spent the last six years farming this vineyard with the aid of John Grace and the support of its owner, Steve Marshall. Located just down the road from Limerick Lane, Sodini is planted on soils much closer to what you would find in the Piner-Olivet or Wood Road parts of the Russian River Valley. This makes for a wine that is perhaps not as age-worthy as Limerick Lane Zinfandel but is juicy, forward, and ready to go.
