Each vineyard was hand-picked between the 24th and 31st March and fermented separately in small 2 tonne open fermenters, with a mix of gentle pump-overs and hand plunging, including up to a week of cold soaking. After extended maceration on skins (up to 24 days) the ferments were gently pressed to a mix of French oak (38% new), consisting of barriques and puncheons (30%). After 6 months, selected barrels from each vineyard component were blended and put back to mostly older puncheons for another 4 months of maturation prior to bottling in February, 2016.

This wine is still young, evidenced in a slight tannin tightness, which will unfurl as the wine develops over time. The palate is evenly balanced with an array of sweet red fruits and raspberry compote characters, balanced by more savoury blueberry and cranberry fruits. With an abundance of flavour, the palate will no doubt build in generosity for years to come.
