A great introduction to Comando G and Sierra de Gredos Garnacha.
Named after the “witch” (La Bruja) from a 1980’s television programme, Comando G’s entry-level wine is made from 100% old vine Garnacha growing at 3000 feet in the remote Sierra de Gredos.
Fermented in wooden vats using native yeasts and a gentle maceration process, the wine is then aged in a 500 litre French oak foudre over five months. The resulting wine is a jovial expression of fresh, perfumed fruit, smoke and tobacco.
In the mouth, blackcurrent, blackberries and red fruit mingle with subtle herbs and spice.
