This wine employs benchmark status in that it quite rapidly enables one to judge the latest tendencies of the vintage in the making.
This particular "cru" has firmly structured flavours with a consistent note of ruggedness to be found in the aromas.
This aspect is perhaps due to the soil-structure, where the dense rocky layers almost stave off any root penetration which supply nutrition to the grapes.
The advantage of this particularity assures the wines an envied position with those racy and elegant cellar wines that one can lay down for a promised richness.
