2004 ESTATE GROWN LATITUDE 38 NAPA VALLEY
Latitude 38 is a Bordeaux blend typical of those from the Pessac. It is a proprietary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. In keeping with the contention that great wines have a sense of place, Latitude 38 is so named such that if you were to go to Latitude 38 degrees 30 minutes north and Longitude 122 degrees 24 minutes west, you will be in the place - the center of our vineyards.
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Our Latitude 38 is true Bordeaux blend of 53 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, and 18 % Cabernet Franc. A wine with dense ruby-purple color and a nose that rises majestically from the glass. It fills your nose with the scent of black berries, black currants, smoke and flowers. This profoundly rich and elegant wine displays a wonderful mouth feel of black fruits, white pepper and sweet, ripe tannins. It is extremely well balanced and the flavors linger for 45 seconds or more – begging for another taste.
