Winery notes on the 2006 Terry Hoage Vineyards The Hedge Syrah: From its luscious deep purple color, complex aromatics of ripe blackberries, dark cherry, chocolate and black fig to its unctuous mid-palate richness and polished lingering finish, this is an impressive and satisfying Syrah. Flavors of blackberries, Cassis, melted licorice, sweet tobacco, black pepper and crushed purple violets all make a showing. Exquisitely soft tannins for such a lush and gusty wine. 100% Syrah. 450 cases produced.
