Subject: OBTUSE "Traditional"

Starting in the 1990s and until the 2004 vintage, we made two concurrent versions of OBTUSE in most vintages;

1. OBTUSE "Traditional" - made entirely with traditional Portuguese varieties such as tinto cao, touriga nacional, and souzao with no cabernet included. This wine is designated on the front label with the word "Traditional" under the name OBTUSE.
2. OBTUSE - other made entirely of cabernet sauvignon. In 2005, and possibly some other vintages, we included some of the traditional Portuguese varieties as blending components, but the main component in this wine has always been cabernet. The back label text will specifies whether it is all cabernet or blended.

If it does not specifically state "Traditional" on the front label of the bottle, it is the regular OBTUSE and is either all, or mostly cabernet sauvignon.
