Winemaker’s Notes: The 2008 growing season presented certain challenges in the vineyard. Mother Nature delivered an early, dry spring that was followed by a significant frost. Despite these less-than-optimal conditions for bloom, the extreme weather ultimately produced smaller berries and lower yields. As a result, there is a distinctive concentration of flavor in the wine.
Our 2008 Estate Sauvignon Blanc is bursting with juicy passion fruit, pineapple, and grapefruit elements, alongside nuanced notes of pear, golden apple, and kumquat. A lush, full texture carries the decadent flavors through the mid-palate, and they remain vibrant through the wine’s long finish.
