Maybe just past peak, fruit starting to fade but still beautiful like dusk. More fruit compote (strawberry and blueberry) with soft tannins but medium acid. Drank after dinner, 30 minutes in glass. Longish finish. Last bottle- would not hold much longer

Drank at Seattle CT offline Brunello double blind. This wine came in 6th of 8. All wines opened 1 hour before tasting. This was still closed but seemed flat, a tad boring with only mild cherry and a bit of earth and rust. I want to like it but I find this wine overrated. I’ve had 4 of this vintage. I saved a glass in corked bottle and retried next day - did not improve. The WOTN was 2006 Casanova tenuta which was incredibly in comparison.

The is classic left bank Bordeaux at great qpr. Pencil lead, gravel, tannins in control, tight structure. Agree with others that fruit is fading some probably best to drink sooner than later unless you like the mushrooms and forest floor beyond fruit
