92 pts (1528 views)
Tasted by Decanting Queen on 10/14/2022 & rated 93 points: Not as good as my previous (recent) bottle. This seemed to be much more aged so perhaps some heat exposure. Decanted for several hours. Fruit originally quite pruney and stewed but with air the riper plum notes emerged. A very decadent extracted wine, like an old world version of SQN. Delicious but not for everyone. (2674 views)
Tasted by GEL Wines on 7/3/2022 & rated 92 points: Perfect cork; decanted 2 hours before. Considerable sediment. Moderate bouquet. Deep garnet; hint of bricking. Mid- to heavy-weight mouthfeel. Fruit dominant; red cherry roll. Generous, possibly overly so. Sensuous and big yet elegant. Handles its 14% alcohol well--not heady or hot. Tannins fully integrated. Gained a bit more taste nuances after c.1hr while remaining a big wine. Likely past its peak (pure youthful power probably best expression), but should be OK for a couple more years. I will decant next bottle for longer (3 hrs?). I prefer certain less concentrated Cote Rotie/CdP wines, but this is an interesting bottle. QPR not great given status of this wine and possibly rarity due to premature disappearance of its maker. Paired with beef, which was OK. Likely better pairing with fowl/game. (1735 views)
Tasted by Decanting Queen on 5/20/2022 & rated 97 points: Exquisite bottle. Big and full of fruit almost cooked (not in a bad way) plums and figs, so much complexity, silky smooth, aromas you can smell all day, a finish that lasts forever. A perfect wine for me. So sad what happened to the winemaker and the subsequent pricing. (3111 views)
Tasted by grub94 on 4/23/2022 & rated 93 points: Pleasantly surprised. Deep garnet. The monster tannins have largely resolved, not disappeared. Full cherry, dark plum, garrigue nose. Palate adds spice, black pepper and hints of sweetness. Big, long finish. Happy to have more bottles to enjoy going forward. (979 views)
Tasted by drrobvino on 8/29/2021 & rated 92 points: 3rd of 3 bottles.
Loved it, big and bold yet somehow exacting and satisfying.
Stewed red fruits, cherry and plum compote, tar, licorice, wet soil.
The structure is very good, showing medium body and refined tannins, alongside quite nice acidity, giving a refreshing lift to this bold-ish wine.
Drink now through 2022 or so, lovely and at peak. (1742 views)
Tasted by ricard on 3/6/2021 & rated 95 points: I must say this was a huge surprise. Quite an astounding wine. A wine of power and intensity, but not excessive or pompous. And drunk at a perfect point in its evolution. Big figgy nose, reminiscent of carob, treacle, molasses, but with vibrant fresh fruit in the middle, so still that exciting tension between youth and age, wisdom and vigour. Thick and dense, but lively and tense. Lots of brambly forest fruit, spiciness and acidity from the Syrah, and nice creamy sweetness from the Mourvedre. Long and generous and lip-smacking jammy smoky finish. Super! The Cabernet is less obvious, but it should give it long life. Not as tannic as I feared. A great wine. (2536 views)
Tasted by wythes on 2/3/2021 & rated 90 points: Not as good as I remember. This bottle was purchased "used" so it may have not been stored as well as it should have been. I found it to be excessively sweet, much more so than the last time I had this wine.

Day 2 and it's clear this bottle was flawed/corked. Dumped the rest and will hope for the best when I open my next bottle. (2095 views)
Tasted by champussi on 11/14/2020 & rated 95 points: Dieser Wein ist sehr speziell. Ich kenne nichts was dem ähnelt. Hoher Wiedererkennungswert! Anfangs noch etwas portig! Ich hatte schon Angst! Gedanken an viele überreife Ch9 kamen hoch! Wirklich toll!! Besonders! Ich wünschte ich hätte mehr!! Jetzt und die nächsten 3-5 Jahre trtrinken!!! (2138 views)
Tasted by d'Artagnan on 7/21/2020: Ouvert 9 heures d’avance. (2668 views)
Tasted by wythes on 5/5/2020 & rated 93 points: I really wanted to like this wine, and I wasn't disappointed! This is the first Vin de Pays de l'Hérault I've ever had and I really liked it. It had a very smooth mouthfeel and the tannins were in perfect balance. I poured the wine immediately which was a mistake - give it an hour of air before drinking. This bottle cost me just under $100 USD which is a bit expensive all things considered. But it was exciting to try a wine from a region that doesn't get much attention in the US. I will buy more of this wine. (2358 views)
Tasted by Thomas123 on 2/6/2020 & rated 92 points: A big and bold wine. Resembling a big Chateauneuf of the more refined breed. Beautiful and at least 5 years to go without losing energy. But very, very good right now. (2061 views)
Tasted by François1986 on 12/6/2019 & rated 92 points: Belle robe rubis d'intensité moyennement pâle.

(2581 views)
Tasted by G_H on 9/15/2019 & rated 92 points: Coffee, medicinal, cooked potatoes, figs, herbs, dries out a bit. Feels like a bit of a dry PX (2207 views)
Tasted by drrobvino on 4/23/2019 & rated 92 points: Bottle #2 of 3. Beautifully complete wine. Opened about 5 days ago, had a few glasses then tasting the remaining wine today.
Amazing how it is still going strong. Stewed tomatoes, road tar, cinnamon, anise, blackberry, red cherry.
The wine has gorgeous acidity, and nice length on the finish. Drink now through 2022+. (2446 views)
Tasted by Jean-Philippe M on 1/26/2019: Wow ! Grand vin.

4,5/5 (2572 views)
 Tasted by d'Artagnan on 1/24/2019 & rated 92 points: à la Paulée d'hiver

Tasted by Morten & Morten on 12/26/2018 & rated 81 points: Julevin i Viborg (2138 views)
(2968 views)
Tasted by Edouard84 on 5/4/2018 & rated 94 points: Fantastic wine, top of the flight with the same wine in 04 vintage.
In its prime drinking window with a few years ahead (2649 views)
(3218 views)
Tasted by Bourgognefreak on 10/23/2017 & rated 89 points: This bottle did suffer from the 2007-syndrome having less grip and life than other vintages. Completely dominated by plum it had insufficient acidity and grip for my taste. On the second day more balanced and I will let any remaining bottles cellar 3-4 years more. No signs of fatigue at all. (2986 views)
Tasted by jfmontreal on 9/16/2017 & rated 95 points: Very intense nose of dark fruit combine with extra long finish, great wine... (3257 views)
(2639 views)
