Not much tannin left but not particularly tertiary. Gentle and mouth-filling, with nice fruit, soft texture, and some mild herbal notes. Basic wine that can age. Conclusion : très beau, très bel équilibre général, évoluera en beauté sur 4 à 5 ans (?), donne envie d'y revenir

Although not heavy in any way, the wine could use a little more "zip" from the acidity for my taste. Yannick Amirault took over three and a half hectares of vines from his grandfather 30 years ago, and today works 14 hectares in Bourgeuil and 6 in St-Nicholas-de-Bourgeuil. The vineyards are worked organically and only natural yeasts are used, with fermentations being allowed as long as they need.
