Tasted by Musigny1955 on 9/4/2023 & rated 94 points: {Bought on release, long GC Diam cork, perfect fill}. Classy C-C nose, very complete, spherical; on palate equally well crafted at 2016 Jacques Carillon Puligny tried at the same time but with 'better' fruit. The height of this wine was above the Carillon but at 3 hours had started to fade a bit. Would have liked to follow out to 4 hours but family and friends at the table swilled this wine down!

Another great showing for this C-C from a so-so vintage. Producer and site >> year.

[Note to self: May be last of the 6-pak I had at home] (620 views)
Tasted by Musigny1955 on 2/1/2023 & rated 94 points: {Bought on release, #3 of 12, sound cork, tasted with TS, EB, AM} Notes: "Great. Minerals, classy fruit, pungent, long, fresh, high-toned. Gorgeous." This wine was gorgeous even at room temp 2 1/2 hours after opening. Classy, svelte; Grand Cru balance throughout. Very intense wine. For me just entering prime drinking window (old adage to drink Corton-Charlemagne young or after 10 years, as it shuts down from years 3 to 10). Better than 2 prior bottles had sampled during shut-down period. Hints of citrus, acacia, more chiseled minerals than butter. Reeks of sophistication. Easily has another decade to go.

This is a wine to offer to neophytes to awaken them to Burgundy. (1205 views)
Tasted by Dnordh on 12/31/2020 & rated 92 points: Golden color, pear and citrus, well balanced acid. Like it. (2288 views)
Tasted by winelover1808 on 12/29/2020 & rated 94 points: Love this. Pale gold color and no signs of premox. In fact this is in great shape and has another 3-5 years easily. Immediate strong perfume of lemon, white flowers, limestone, hint of spearmint? Medium plus intensity and body that punches above its color, tons of sharp lemon curd with loads of minerality and a pleasant bitterness in the end. Long finish. This is excellent. (2131 views)
Tasted by MicklethePickle on 4/1/2019 & rated 90 points: Strong color and good viscosity, but I’m disappointed. Just doesn’t seem to have that extra special dimension a grand cru white burgundy should have. Nice nose, but it doesn’t stand out. Same on the palate, good but nothing really outstanding. Seems like a standard quality white burgundy. I’m puzzled because so many others really seem to like this one. 5-12-15-8: 90/100. (2999 views)
Tasted by Xavier94 on 1/20/2019 & rated 95 points: Buttery nose, lactic impression, ripe apple, lemon, flint, smoke. Lots of density on the nose and palate. Harmonizes more as it warms up. Shows both wood and natural spice and plenty of power. I would like to revisit in 5+ years. (2396 views)
Tasted by jmoore431 on 7/1/2018 & rated 94 points: Tasted blind: Very pale straw colored; very fresh, lemony and crisp nose; superb intensity and dry extract; PURITY of classic fresh young WB, very youthful yet. The oak is much in check and balance. Excellent. (2452 views)
Tasted by GoBlue2002 on 2/19/2017 & rated 93 points: 3 oz pour at Delta Sky Club Atlanta.
Heavy oak on the palate, but smooth on taste. A little funky, but I'm not sure if that is intended.
Tropical fruit flavors. So unlike the chardonnay we are used to drinking.

Tasted by drwine2001 on 2/27/2016: K&L Burgundy Tasting (San Francisco): Light yellow. Faint toastiness and citrus. Medium weight. Flavors of citrus and spice. Good balance of richness and some subtlety. Resiny oak toward the end, but this still dances across the palate without getting bogged down by the wood. (3309 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
